Our Run Together Run Club is for anyone who enjoys running, or perhaps might not do any running without the company of others! Most of our members are recreational runners rather than competitive and we are welcoming to all. We have 4 weekly groups meeting at Carterton Community Centre (please see Teamup up for times):
Social Run – out for a relaxed run and maybe a chat – usually no more than about 6km.
Skills & Drills – working on your technique so that you can run faster. We do core & leg strength, fartlek, hills, paarlaufing, repeats, pyramids, sprints and more. Usually no more than 5-6km but these essential sessions will challenge you.
Longer runs – for those with a few more miles in the legs, we will go out for around an hour+
Gentle Joggers – for beginners or those wanting to rebuild confidence. Gentle pace, lots of encouragement and no more than 4km.
All of our Run Leaders hold the England Athletics Leadership in Running qualification and are insured and DRB checked, and almost all of our Run Leaders are Mental Health First Aid trained – we welcome anyone who might need a #RunandTalk
